What is Net Banking?

Net Banking is a service that allows you to access your bank accounts using a PC (personal computer) connected to Internet.

Banking on the Internet is like having a bank branch on your desktop. You can access your bank any time, from any place.

Who is eligible for Yorkshire RetailNetBanking?

All individual Yorkshire customers (account holders) are eligible for getting Retail Net Banking access for their Yorkshire accounts.

How do I access Yorkshire Retail Net Banking?

All individual Yorkshire customers (account holders) are eligible for self registering Retail Net Banking access for their Yorkshire accounts. .

After processing your application form, we will enable your Net Banking access and issue passwords to you. You will get two passwords for using Yorkshire Net Banking, login password and Soft / Hard Token. You need to use these passwords along with your Yorkshire Net Banking User ID to access Yorkshire Net Banking.

To access Yorkshire Net Banking you need to have a PC (personal computer) with Internet browser (e.g. Internet Explorer), which should be connected to the Internet. Minimum requirements:

  • Hardware: You need a PC with 256 MB RAM, 2 GB Hard Disk Space and 500 MB free space.
  • Software: You need a browser, preferably Internet Explorer Version 6.0 or higher.

What is my User ID & Password for Yorkshire Retail Net Banking?

You can choose your own user id when you do the self registration.

You can choose your own password when you do the self registration. Login password should be used to log into the Net Banking system and Hard / Soft Token is the second level password required for authorising certain transactions.

Once you are authorised by entering your login password provided by Yorkshire, we recommend you change your passwords to the ones convenient to you. You can change your password after logging in. Please ensure that you follow the tips suggested under security tips.


What is Authorization Password?

Yorkshire Net Banking has two level passwords for enhanced security of your accounts. Authorization password is the second level password that you need to enter to do certain transactions.

How do I access French / English version of Yorkshire Net Banking?

After logging in Net Banking, you can select the language option. Please logout after changing the language and re login to access the system in your preferred language.

When can I use Yorkshire Net Banking services?

With Yorkshire Net Banking, you have access to your account information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You will be informed online in case our system is down due to certain maintenance reasons.

What accounts can I access through Yorkshire Net Banking?

You can access your current account, savings account, call deposit, fixed deposit, loans and credit card on Yorkshire Net Banking.

What can I do on Yorkshire Retail Net Banking?

Current / Savings Account:

  • View Account balance, Account activity, Account details, Cheque status and Standing Instructions.
  • Download Account activity in CSV (for MS Excel) or PDF format, or get it emailed to your email id.
  • Transfer funds between your accounts with Yorkshire or to third party accounts
  • Request for cheque book, physical statement and demand draft.
  • Report a lost ATM card.

Call Deposit:

  • View Account balance, Account details and Account activity.

Fixed Deposit:

  • View Account balance and Account details.
  • Book a new fixed deposit.
  • Use a fixed deposit calculator.
  • View Fixed Deposit interest rates.

Loan:

  • View Account balance, Account activity and Account details.
  • Download Account activity in CSV (for MS Excel), PDF or MS Money format or get it emailed to your email id.
  • Apply for a loan.
  • Use an EMI (monthly installment) calculator.

Credit Card:

  • View Credit Card balances, Credit Card activity and Credit Card details.
  • Make payment towards your credit card by debiting your bank account.

Other Transactions:

  • View exchange rates.
  • Communicate with the bank over a secure medium by using My Mail.
  • View / edit your personal details with Yorkshire.
  • Change your login / authorisation password.
  • Soon, we will be introducing Bill Payment for various utilities in Internetional.

When will my transactions affect my account?

Most of the transactions will be executed instantly, some others will take some processing time. The time required to execute a particular transaction will be informed to you when you complete the transaction. In case your transaction is not executed on time, please contact us and provide the transaction details along with the ‘transaction reference number’.

Why do I get the message "Your valid session already exists"?

You will get this message if you close the browser window without logging out of Net Banking and try to log in again within 5 minutes. Please try to login after 5 minutes. If the Problem still persists please contact the Bank.

Is there any charge for using Yorkshire Net Banking?

No. Currently, we offer Yorkshire Net Banking free to all our customers. However, there may be charges for certain features like external funds transfer, standing instruction set up, etc. You will be informed about the relevant charges before the transaction is completed.

What happens if I forget my password?

If you forget your login password please contact the Bank. If you forget your authorisation password you can request for the same online after logging in Net Banking.

How secure is Yorkshire Net Banking?

Security of your accounts is our top priority. Yorkshire uses the latest technology with robust security methods, including 128-bits SSL encryption, firewalls, timed log-out and access blocking in case of repeated incorrect password entry, to ensure the security and confidentiality of your personal and financial information.

  • Yorkshire takes utmost precaution to prevent unauthorized access to the Bank's servers with measures like firewalls and access controls.
  • All your transactions travel via 128-bit SSL encrypted medium (the industry standard for encrypted communication).
  • Your password is generated in a very secure way and is known to you only.
  • To prevent somebody from guessing your password and getting unauthorised access to your account your User ID is locked in case of three consecutive wrong password entries. It is automatically unblocked after 24 hours, for your convenience.
  • To prevent an unauthorised person from viewing your Net Banking account in case you leave your computer idle, we close your Internet session in case of inactivity for an extended period of time.
  • You can block your Net Banking access anytime, which can be unblocked upon your request.
